I always enjoyed coming to this airport sinds i would be reunited with my wife(Liza Ranggi;Indu Athena, who works here for Petronas) again.it's more then a year now because of the pandemic that's going on all over the world & that she became indifferent towards her family somewhere in the middle of 2.019, but the memories i have about this airport are always going to be special.not very spacey but it has all the requirements & basics you need for your flights.****

It is good when they comply with the covid19 sop. But then, hopefully the restaurant there can open early so that the customer/passenger can have a sip of drink before fly. So thirsty in the early of morning.

One of the best airport in Malaysia, its never been crowd. All seems peaceful and relax in a cozy way. Bintulu airport is the only access to the heart of Sarawak, directly from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Brunei. The airport is located 5 km (3.1 mi), 23 km (14 mi) by road, southwest of the city, and although small, it is able to handle planes as large as a Boeing 747. In 2008, the airport handled 417,918 passengers and 16,787 aircraft movements. Based on history, Bintulu airport began in early 1937 when the British colony built an airfield situated between a river at one end and the sea coast at the other end. Bintulu old airport was open for operation on 1 September 1955, with a grass-surface runway catering for de Havilland DH.
