Air travel are heavily affected by Covid19 and domestic flight to Ipoh too is impacted. When the restriction order was relaxed, I was able to fly from Ipoh to Johor using AirAsia.

During MCO only one shop open (biscuit shop) and if you print your boarding pass earlier it will be easier and less contact will involve.the place is not crowded since only one flight to johor bharu.all the staff there is very helpful.

As much as I enjoyed flying into/out Ipoh on IPH Airport, the terminal is so small that with serial flights (domestic & intl) the departure security check is terribly packed.. was worst among small airports I experienced. Definitely needs enhancement. Pro; very close to the city - time saver.

At last. It’s one of the most anticipated things Ipohites been waiting for; an operating airport. Although not much routes offered for now, still better than nothing and hopefully more destinations will be served from here in future. The parking rate as in Jan 2019 is RM2/entry. There’s two AirAsia kiosks for self check-in and boarding pass reprints. The boarding area is small and consist only toilets and rows of chairs. IMO one better spend time waiting in arrival/departure hall area until the last minute as more options (convenience stores, gift shops and cafe) available.

Small and simple airport, straight forward immigration then small boarding waiting area. Most aircraft is walk up onto plane. Airport near city and very convenient for those travelling in and out of city. Taxi counter available within airport, receipt issued before boarding taxi. Pay upon arrival at destination. Fare depends on sector away from airport.

The airport facilities is limited. However the worst part is that there is this 2 guys whom appear to be friendly while stopping you when you let your luggages scan.. At first they will try to be helpful to explained that our luggages will be easy cracks if we didnt wrapped it up.. Then they will pretend to bring your luggage to weight Again..all of sudden, one of them will sly enough to distract us and the other guy will just wrapped it. We are in the process of checking in, then the shocking news comes when he will demands 20 RM.. Thought the service is free, yet without our consent he just do it. Yet the wrap, in the end didnt help but cause demage to it still.. Saw this indian guy just pocket the . Wonder the authority know this way of getting ... Or it is just another way to con people? Beware‼️

Nice and Cozy Airport serving flights mostly from Ipoh City to Singapore, Johor, Thailand by Malindo Air and Firefly Airway. One of most friendly airport in Malaysia.
