It’s a small domestic Airport in Sandakan. Where there is not that facility you can have. Few shops are there mostly restaurants. Air Asia self check in with baggage drops are there. Security wise most effective so you are very safe there.

Small airport has its own charm and Sandakan Airport is definitely one. Only three gates are available. Unlike crowded and busy airport, here is relax and hassle free. Smooth clearance for immigration, simple and efficient. It houses coffee shop, bookshop, souvenir shop, charging station. These are sufficient to keep you occupied. No complaints.

Should be more flight in a day.. currently only Air Asia and Mas available and only travel one direction to peninsula ie KLIA. Hope for one day.. ️overall its good

Facilities are good. Not much for shopping or eatimg. Very small airport. Anyone with West Malaysia visa can enter east Malaysia for 30days without any additional visa. There is an immigration counter visa is stamped without any charges. Easy to enter and exit.

Not too much here but that is what makes it nice. The check-in for Air Asia has automated machines which work very well now and there's no queue at the check in to drop your bags. Krabi airport Thailand you need to come here and check out how you should be operating!
