Process is quite fast But beware! make sure that you got your stamp in Thai office cause no one will stop you on a border of you don't have one, it just will cause problems later. Sounds ridiculous but it's really easy to unintentionally enter Thailand illegally so check the procedure twice!

Just be careful when you enter to Thailand. There's no one at the Thailand immigration counter and I was keep going without a stamp. It gave me trouble when I went out from Thailand.
Efficient counter process. The toilet outside cost 5 baht per entry.
I've crossed into Malaysia twice here, and both times exit from Thailand was quick and painless.
Driving through Padang Besar ICQ was a total breeze compared to previous and now new Bukit Kayu Hitam/Sadao border. The slight extra road distance and time spent from Changlun flyover juction was very well spent/worthwhile.
