Drink and Cry

Burnt rice was discovered when the land owner built this house. Actually it's a private land but they are opening their place for visiting and to see burnt rice and the place where it was discovered. Why this place important is, it's an evidence of an ancient battle was happened here. So it makes us feeling that we are standing and living on continuous history from the ancient people. Read explanation in there. Actually you can find it from the other user's photo. Fyi, to get here, you need to enter through the batik market. Ask someone if you can't find. If you're reached at a community mosque, you need to come back and ask someone.

Nice house but the area of Beras Terbakar was not maintain

We enjoy shopping here. Cheapest souvenirs, Langkawi towels rm12, langkawi shirts, batiks, and gamat here. But for pario, buy at chenang walk... Not so expensive also, around rm18. Seller mostly friendly but got one or two seller annoying. The like forcing you to buy new items. I prefer choose myself because old design looks more trendy and simple.

A nice place to learn about the history, take nice photos and of course shop on local merchandise.

For a historical site this was not easy to find, there were no direction signs and the info board inside the site doesn't provide much info. There is a sign with the story but it's faded
