An excellent turtle sanctuary that has been here for almost 50 years. Juvenile turtles are a guarantee here while you can try your luck to see the baby turtle (definitely not available during non-nesting season). You can learn a lot about the ecology, life cycle, threats and importance of the turtles in both Malaysia and the world. You will find precious specimens of turtles, corals and even dugong here. You should not touch the specimens as they are very fragile and precious. Do donate to them and support their excellent work by not purchase any turtle products outside!

Free entrance, but you are encouraged to donate some for the sanctuary daily operation. Highly recommended to bring your kids here and learn about turtle hatching, their life and challenges after the turtles were released to the sea. There are 3 to 4 pools available for the visitors to see the real turtles. There were also explanation board in the exhibition room. The place is small, very near to the beach. If you don't like hit weather, come early in the morning. Souvenirs were also being sold at the front desk area.

The place closed without any information. As even small business could update information in online. I think a little effort on online information on operating hours and closure for any events could be useful. As much the effort and funds spent on saving the turtles an extra effort of creating awareness required to actually sustain the cause.

The place is just before the entrance to Club Med Cherating. Ample parking around. Been here for few times, it seemed well kept. Not much interactive activities, come and look at the turtles. The pool where the turtles are kept felt small if one to learn that turtle can travel over 4000km in their natural environment. I wish for a much more natural pond can be made instead of tiled pool, hence the word sanctuary would be more appropriate.

Very informative on history and turtle hatchery at cherating. No entry charges. Can view baby and medium size turtles. Located just beside club mate resort. Also cam view the south China sea beach. Peaceful area to view the waves.

As I went during the school holiday, it was kinda disappointing when the exhibition is only a brief line of glass displays. There should be more explanation done by the officers there as I am sure kids (and adults) would surely appreciate a good story telling.

The message to the public about turtle conservation is not loud enough. Only one miserable poster about how long it takes for various materials to disintegrate. No message about how rubbish or plastic in the ocean are killing many more sea turtles in the ocean. Not impactful. More like a mini zoo. Nevertheless, good effort.
