Interesting. In love with the house, got its own character that drawn my attention to go back to the house for the 2nd time. There is also English Tea Breakfast but maybe will come back again for the English Tea Breakfast House. Recommended if you like a historical place.

Gem up on the hill! I am so glad the local community was able to save this house and fully restore it back to its original post WWII glory. Lots of information on her and her families lives. Many great photos dating back to to the 30’s until now. Lots of information though-out except I wish the video was working. No one around to ask about turning it on either. The grounds are very pretty and it is an opportunity to relax and enjoy the moment.

The atmospheric two-storey colonial villa tells the story of American writer Agnes Keith and her British husband Harry.. Lovely house and very well maintained. Worth of visit.

One of Sandakan Must Go Places! Agnes Keith House is a historic site where Agnes Newton Keith, an American woman who married to a British, moved to North Borneo because of her husband's job as a British minister back in the 1920s. There are many artifacts inside the house that were worth a while to examine. There are Ancient pots, plates, a British era fridge, phones, and many more. Additionally, the house was specifically modelled according to the description written in Agnes Keith's books. As a result, the details of the house you see would be, as accurately as possible, the same as how Agnes Keith and her family had once lived. There is also a Audio Visual Room where you can just chill out and watch a documentary regarding Sandakan's history. As for the price, senior citizens above 55 years old would be given a free entrance while citizens younger than 55 years old would only need to pay RM2. On the other hand, foreigners will be required to pay RM15. I strongly recommend everyone to visit this site. Hope you all would enjoy this place as much as I had!

Interesting house design, layout and structure. Estimate required 1 1/5 hrs. Information of Agnes and family history are layout simple to understand. It's done in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Some old furniture displayed. Bring a pair of socks. As forward are not allowed in. The floor was dusty. Unfortunately no access for wheelchair.
