Fried squid is most recommended as an appetizer, while the uji matcha with mochi is most likely the best dessert I could suggest. The sweetness in red beans and honey on mochi along with bitterness in matcha is so well balanced. On the other hand, for main course, their ramen is quite tasty but the portion is a little too large for me. Overall their food is very satisfying but the friendliness, efficiency, and attitude while answering guests' queries are quite far from excellent. There are huge rooms of improvement on their customer service quality of waiting staff.
Nearest Japanese restaurant next to Taiping mall and Novotel hotel. Prices are frankly high ( even higher than Kuala Lumpur!) Eg - shisamo is 16 for 3 pieces Vs only 10 for 3 in KL. I do like the ambience but the service level is lacking ( 3 staff were behind the counter all times instead of serving) .

Variety of Japanese food in here but too little choice of sushi. You will find their menu is thick like a text book. After you have ordered your food, you are expected to be wait at least 20 to 30 minutes to be served.
