TakeawayDine-in
A quaint little Chinese coffee shop that’s still a little bit stuck in time with its collection of antiques on display, one of which, an old radio, actually works, providing the music for shop. Breakfast is as Malaysian as it gets — toast and eggs, butter cakes (made by the lady boss herself) or roti canai (run by a Malay lady), or nasi lemak (sold by a Malay couple). Only in small towns like this do you see different races patronising a Chinese shop. Didn’t see any non-muslim boycott here. A great stopover if you’re bypassing the main hiway towards Kuala Kangsar or Bruas. The shop in right next to the town’s ancient clock tower.
