Great setup despite being beside the mall’s entrance. Staffs were helpful and friendly. Food wise, most of the dishes were fresh and flavourful, only the ramen was a bit disappointing. The boiled egg was badly peeled with bits of shell left on it when served, ramen tasted like those instant ramen broth. Dessert were the best amongst the rest — highly recommend their egg custard and mochi.

It was okay for me but I've asked them about something and they misheard it. It gave me big trouble because it includes the payment. I kinda think they took advantage of me cause I'm a student, and when me n my friend was about to pay, they say that they doesn't accept the payment method that we ask for when earlier they say they do. Please don't take advantage of students, it just destroys our enjoyment even if the food is good.

Pros: 1) Menu has like really a lot of varieties - yakitori, sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, okonomiyaki, chawanmushi, omurice, salmon, sushi , soba and etc. You name it. 2) Restaurant environment gave me the feeling of that in Japan, really cozy Japanese feelings. 3) Cramped place, looks similar to that of Japan, places for them is small, in the sense they've to utilize the only space they have. 4) Suitable for small groups. Less than 6 people I would recommend. Big group probably wouldn't be a problem during peak hours. 5) Food taste great especially the salmon sushi. 6) Located just beside the main Miri highway, easy to locate. 7) Well-known Japanese song played. Cons: 1) It has limited spaces, big group would be slightly tough. 2) Spicy miso tofu did not meet my expectation. 3) Prices is above of that of average, in my opinions. This is what you pay for such delicious food. ;) Regret after. 4) No Sake. (This is a Halal restaurant, now not that it's a bad thing, just you know 3) P.S. I'm from KL, Sushi Mentai and sushi Tei are my regular Sushi venues. That's how I compare. D Feel free to visit and make your own comparison as well with opinions. Peace out.

Came here twice. The sashimi texture is good, firm enough to spring back when pressed. It tasted fresh and smell good. The salmon terikayi rice was a bit disappointing to me. Lack of teriyaki sauce, salmon slices seemed overcooked (too dry). Not recommended. Sukiyaki nabe, the Japanese hot pot where beef and vegetables are stewed together in a sweet soup called warishita. However the beef was already cooked when served, while the rest of the raw vegetables were still not cooked. They didn’t use a portable gas stove, but use something like a candle to heat it up. We almost finished the udon and beefs in it yet the vegetables were still under cooked. The soup wasn’t that rice either. Not recommended. Apart from the two dishes above, the sushi rolls that I have ordered were pretty good. Maybe next time the chef could spend a bit more time to make sure all the sushi is fully COMPLETELY covered in fish roes before serving it to the table? I could still see some part of the ‘naked rice’ not covered in fish roe.
