This section of Jonker Street was created to honor the man behind the revival of Jonker Street. Datuk Dr Wira Gan Boon Leong is a pioneer in Malaysian BodyBuilding scene in the 60's, having won the prestigious Mr Universe title. Melaka's favorite son, now in his late 70's, is still actively serving the local community and an active politician.
