So, the place is a wreck... one of the escalator isn't working and the other is about to stop. It's very messy with no clear instructions. However, the staff in there are very nice and helpful.

An open air building, with enclosed, air-conditioned departure waiting area. This is an intercity express bus station. To go to local bus hub, there's a shuttle bus from here to the city bus hub. Recently the ticketing system was changed from individual bus company booths to centralised one, much like TBS in KL, which is great. All tickets bought online however must be printed at the ticket counter first, even if you print them at beforehand which defeats the purpose of online ticketing. And you also have to pay RM1 for printing them. Signages are not very clear but it's quite straightforward; departure at lower level, arrival at upper level. Bus to city centre next to express bus departure but do ask the personnel. Toilets are charged RM0.30 per entry which was fine except the toilets are not exactly in the best condition, but renovations are going on at some toilets so we'll see how it goes.
The ticketing system has improved, kudos tsk!
