Great experience seeing the orang utan from such a short distance. The boat ride is every 45 minutes and quite punctual. The boat ride is around 10 mins time to the island and you'll be greeted by a proper structure. The orang utans are given freedom to wander in the wild, while us the visitors are enclosed in cages, viewing them from within. There are only around 15 or 16 orang utans so don't expect to see an army of them. This is good as they are aggressive by nature. Please do donate to support these organisations.

Nice leisurely cruise by the boat to the Orang Hutan Island
Loved being in a cage whilst orangutans are free
Nice stop from Penang to KL. Don't expect a lot Orang Utan. Nice to see them from close and in their natural habitat. You as visitor are walking through a cage.
Well worth a visit if you're in the area. Boats every 45 minutes from 1030. Not the same as Borneo but everyone I've taken there has really enjoyed it.
The island itself is a good idea and purpose. Cannot say there is much to see but definitely a good experience to explore flora and fauna
Catch the ferry from Laketown Resort to see the Orangutans. Ferry departs every 45 minutes from 9am. Cost of ferry and entry for non Malaysians is MYR 36 (Jan 2017). Well worth a visit.
