What a waste of effort. You can only see the outside of the station. You are unable to explore inside as it is all either clused off or you need to have a train ticket to pass the barriers. Very disappointing

The iconic building will definitely make you snapping a photo as you get there. Nothing much to explore here besides being in the historical building.
Old train station but had been refurbished. Currently not only as train station, but also attract tourist with its historical structure of the building. Nice decoration in front of this station.
It is a grand looking station. The landscaping outside is well maintained and there is a small World War Two memorial in one corner to commemorate the war death. The station itself looks crammed when there are passengers waiting to board. There is even a hotel next to it which I am not sure if it is in operation. Nice place to walk around for while to imagine what it must be like in the past.

Old heritage building yet clean and presentable. A small cafe, some groceries stalls available and vending machines too.
The architecture of this building is very unique for a railway station. Never thought it as one at first. One of the landmarks of Ipoh. Located at the center of the town so it's easy for people to find. Very beautiful place especially at night.
