this station very vintage and cool architectures, i love it to be here, and very comfortable to take some great pictures due this area little quite. and this place available in center town so easy to access from anywhere. but the ticket price a quite expensive compare with bus fare

Ipoh is a sleepy city, similar to Must, Malacca, with a lot of interesting building dating from colonial times, built up by Chinese migrants, or British administration. That's the case for the railway, typical of colonial British architecture from these times. It's cute and charming, and Ipoh is a nice place to stroll, walkways are clear, and the architecture offers many photo shoots. The station in itself is cute, not the best example of British buildings I have seen, but worth the visit since you are in Ipoh. It's not as grand as in KL, but still pretty, and the station is still in use after all these years, that's a tribute to the quality of constructions of this time.

I love the old colonial style architecture and glad that the authorities kept and maintained this facade. The surrounding area is clean and neatly kept and I actually took some time to explore the grounds around the station.

A must visit in Ipoh for its architecture and historical significance. The public toilets need total upgrading, it's aging badly.

Ipoh Railway Station Square is a green lung garden display in front of the iconic Ipoh Railway Station. By night there are fountains and colourful light displays and a giant LED screen. Some of the lights and effects have deteriorated and hoping the local city council can do some repairs and upgrades to the place. An memorial cenotaph of the wars fought and participated by Malaysian and foreign soldiers was erected in the square. A special memorial is held every Warriors Day to commemorate all our fallen soldiers. An excellent place for photographic opportunity.

Nice place to walk around... Stunning water fountain shows, war memorials.. Skating area.. And not forgetting the Ipoh tree. Awesome view of Ipoh Town Hall at night.
