The place was full of treasures from old times. It is like we go back in time. The guide is very passionate. My family loves this place.
Very nice museums with a friendly Chinese museum director to explain the history of Malacca in detail. The small museum shows different faces of Malacca's local industries, including pharmacy, cinema, hair saloon, plastic manufacturer as well as some old houses. Every piece of the exhibition is just "Live History" from the good old days. Even Malacca share part of same history with Hong Kong and Guangzhou, but you can rarely find such thing there. It's really worth to pay a visit especially if you are from these areas.
I was really great to find out this place!! I love vintage museum so it was very interesting to see the old things also it was nice to see MR. Tee!!!! He was a man with passion of this museum:) I hope to see you again! I won’t forget the coconut candy from Melaka!!
The curator was really nice and the collections are interesting. I especially liked the mini theatre room that was showing a Bruce Lee film while we were there. Entrance is also just 10MYR. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in Malacca.
Photogenic and slightly small museum of things from the 20 th century in Malacca. Costs 10 ringitt to enter and the guy at the front desk is quite a chatter box along with trying to drum up business if you know what I mean.
This place is a must if you are in Malakka. With a very happy and helpful guide, you will really enjoy looking around at the different artifacts from around the 1950s. Very reasonable prices and a very enjoyable experience overall. Mr. T was very passionate about what he knew and shared many fascinating stories about the importance of Malakka.
This place is awesome! You could probably see all of the historically accurate displays in about a half hour and it would be completely worth the entry fee. They are fascinating and it feels just like stepping back in time. However, if you have extra time, I highly recommend talking with the museum curator, Mr. Tih. He is *extremely* passionate about his museum and is more than willing to talk about it. He has so many interesting stories and it's basically guaranteed that you'll have a wonderful conversation. My wife and I ended up spending more than 2 hours here since we had such a great time talking with Mr. Tih. We stayed in Malacca for multiple weeks and this was BY FAR the best place that we found. Thanks Mr. Tih! Eric and Katie
