One of the premier secondary school in batu pahat. Previously known as only High School Batu Pahat (HSBP), it was founded in 1919. The main building built in 1919 still remains, while new blocks surrounds it. 'NUNC AUT NUNC QUAM' - now or never

I was in GES from 1952-1958. Before MERDEKA in1957 we sang the School Song every Sunday morning. Friday and Saturday were holidays. I remenber the Head master (an English man in short and long stocking) walking past our attap hut class every mornig..I hope some one can remember the School song.
