A charming guesthouse in the small town of Gopeng. Located next to the town's bus station. The lady who runs it, Jaja, is very friendly and helpful. The guesthouse itself is very charming with many homely touches but some of the rooms are very basic and almost spartan. Lighting inside is quite dim. I think they're trying to save electricity since the place is not exactly bustling. If you come by bicycle from afar, you enjoy 50% discount on the room.. very commendable of her and definitely welcomed by cycle tourers. If it wasn't for the discount, I'm not sure if I would have paid RM50 for a tiny fan-only room. Best to email ahead, as on my second visit, she did not reply to WA messages.

The guesthouse is beautiful. Reclaimed wood walls, lots of Malaysian flair, bike and motorbike rental at great prices, and piles of things to do in the area.
Just okay to stay over one or two night. No single air condition in rooms. Only two toilet and three bathrooms. Still okay as a adventure stay over place.
Excusite experience of a Malay style home. Not for noisy people. Amazing quietness perhaps to get some work done as well
The wifi is super fast, the people are super nice! They treat you like a friend, the hospitality was great!! Although it is a far distance from Ipoh, but if Gopeng also has a lot of adventurous activities to enjoy, an hour by MyBas with 2.70 RM from Medan Kidd station to Gopeng Station, and after you get off from the bus, the guest house is just a 10 meter
Sat down after our rafting and had some coffee and toast and a chat with the owner/manager. The food and drinks were delicious and the owner really nice. The atmosphere is very relaxed and backpacky.
Good to stay overnight before tomorrow activities in the early morning. Host are friendly. Next to bus station
