Maybe it’s just a trial run, relocating passengers ferry from the iconic ‘older’ double decker ferries in Weld Quay, to this new site. Much more must be done to improve overall BOARDING experience and upgrade all facilities, and a better facelift.

Landing port for cruise depart / transit in Penang. Lack of public facilities inside, but there are some merchandise store / convenience store here, which is nice.
Very normal pier, quite quiet
This is a ferry terminal of Penang. Services from Langkawi has a nonstop ferry that lands in this point. This terminal had a unique thing. After landing at the port , while existing the terminal your luggage will undergo a security check through luggage scanner. I never saw luggage scanning at the arrival point. The same I asked the officer across the scanner. She simply smiled and didn't answer me. You need to walk more than 100meters to reach the taxi stand. Several taxi services are available at the exit gate as well as inside the terminal also.
A place where you can get ferries to Lungkawi. RM 70. Tickets can be bought from tour operators outside, just half n hour before the boat ride is okay. The boat to Lungkawi looks dangerous. 210 people seated down in 2 rows of 4 seats. Barely enough exit windows. Do not see many fire extinguishers. Honestly if i had to this again id rather take a flight. In case of any emergency there will surely be a stampede. Sail at your own risk boss!
Cruise ships and speedboat ferry to Langkavi
Landing point for cruise ships that berth in Penang. Tourists will generally walk around the Georgetown area/enclave, and enjoy a sun soaked day of taking in the sights and trying out the local delicacies sold in shops and along the roads.
