Many local delicious food here, highly recommended curry mee, fried koew kak, economy fried mee gun.
At kuantan road have nice, yummy big fat fry noodles. Also other local favorite curry mee, hockken mee and many more....
Lok Yen coffee shop is located on the left as you enter Kuantan Road from Dato Keramat Road. The market there used to be very busy but has now lost its lustre as most of the former residents have relocated to new townships. But still the two coffee shops attract a lot of customers for its varied street food. What are the gems at Lok Yen coffee shop? Char Koay Teow is a must have street food when in Penang. It can be quite expensive to have a plate with a hen egg. At this place the Xiang Xiang CKT is pretty good, especially without egg at Rm 4.50. Add 50 sen if you want an egg. Frankly, the prices of popular CKT are over priced with some charging as much as Rm 9 to Rm 10 albeit they give you giant prawns which is really not necessary. So, if you are looking for very good CKT without burning a hole in your pocket, you know where to go to be served by a pleasant, smiling lady. Tai Lok Mee is very popular in KL n PJ but not so popular in Pg. This TLM stall at this place is also delicious. The seller has relocated here from his former coffee shop next to Starview Restaurant and his faithful followers have folled him to this coffee shop. Now, you can have it in the morning. Tag some one to try my recommendation Bon Appetit.
