A small graveyard with a good history to learn.
like
The graveyard was firstly used at the last quarter of 17th century during the Dutch Malacca. It was used in two stages, in which the first one was in 1670-1682 and the second one was in 1818-1838. The graveyard features 5 Dutch officers and 33 British officers and their spouses.
They keep this place clean however the engraving are almost gone and hardly recognize.
The “Dutch” Graveyard turns out to have mostly British graves. It’s a quiet place, despite the tourist hordes passing close by. It’s not very well maintained, but is strangely interesting and atmospheric.
nice place to visit historical grave
We had a ghoulishly good time. Boo-tiful!
By making use of the staircase right beside this graveyard, you will be able to go uphill reaching an old castle, and also the Melaka Sultanate Palace Museum.
Well maintained. Clean and open for public.
