It's a old but functional airport. Basic services. They have a Gloria Jean coffee here. The coffee is okay , pastries are bad. BEWARE! when we landed here, we ordered a Grab car to semporna. some guy accepted it and met us at the airport entrance. And he kept saying he is not going to Semporna and he kept asking us to follow his friend's car which is going to semporna (his friend isn't registered on Grab) and they keep insisting us to pay cash. When we told them we don't have cash, they had the audacity to ask us to take from the atm nearby. And he kept telling us that that it is very hard to get a Grabcar into semporna which obviously is a lie. Anyway we just canceled this particular Grabcar order and ordered another Grab. (Should have reported the Grab driver.) The 2nd Grabcar guy was a middle age uncle which was really nice and friendly. He said that there are many Grabcar around and just don't bother with those guys mentioned above. Just beware of those guys mentioned above using Grab to get customers privately and insisting to be paid in cash. AVOID THEM! Always use Grab as least if anything gone wrong you can report via the app or even have a record with Grab.
Nothing much. Just a transit point to world's best island like Sipadan, mabul, mataking, pom pom islands and more. Enjoy your holiday!
Simple domestic/international airport (not a stool airport). During MCO limited flight per week.
Airport is small but overrall satisfied. Saw the crew throw the paasenger luggage to deload the luggage from the plane.
Airport is small but the great thing is that the parking is cheap, if you are to park overnight there. Real convenience for those who drive their car there and then fly overseas for a few days trip.
Toilet has improved very well since i've been here last 2 years. Improve surau area next.
