Escape from urban jungle to a peaceful untouched beach. Remember to keep the beach clean for sea turtle to lay their future to come. Reminder, No phone reception. Only to hike to the back of the bay to have phone line reception.

Wow! Peace and quiet, a rarity these days. No wifi, tv, phone service or vehicles, just the odd boat passing by. It's deadly for those addicted to social media, you may have to actually converse and look around. A two hour drive from Kuching to Sematang jetty to meet the boat man Minhat. A friendly man with much knowledge about Sematang and Tanjung Datu Park. A forty five minute boat ride in an open boat to the white sandy shores of the park, pray the skies don't open up and give you a taste of Sarawak rain storms . The lodgings are five rooms upstairs with two single beds per room, shared living room, kitchen with utensils, toilets and shower, down stairs is staff accommodations and offices. Tenting is permitted and there are sleeping platforms with canopy and cooking areas. Staff are very friendly and helpful and will even wake you up to see the hatched turtles being released. So cute. Bring a good flash light. Trails are short but well laid out and are being maintained. The Pasir Antu Laut Trail has two streams to cross, the first being some what slippery. Beautiful beach and rock formations with clear water for swimming and diving. And for those die hard social media types, there is hope. Climb the Viewpoint Trail and at the top at the lookout tower, you can get connected. See, it's not the end of the world after all. Beautiful park for R&R, a dip in the sea and to appreciate nature.

Secluded place. A very nice place to get away from it all. Still naturally and ecologically balanced. Chances of encountering wildlife.

A bit difficult & pricy to reach. But its a good place for those looking for adventures. Not crowded. Can choose between the rooms provided or camping. I'd recommend camping & ask the park about turtles nesting period. Lucky enough & you'd be able to
