This beach is known by several names such as Takir Bay & the unofficial name that is better known among the locals is as Miami Beach Terengganu. Perhaps such a nickname was given because of the beauty & beautiful coastal landscape like Miami Beach in the US. The popularity of Seberang Takir Beach has been increasing since the existence of Terengganu Drawbridge. This is because, the Terengganu Drawbridge makes it easier for tourists to get to Miami Beach from the KT City area.
