Getting to Pangkor island has a uniquely different experience since the only means of getting there is taking a ferry ride. Upon checking into Pangkor jetty one will need another form of transportation on land to move around the island since there's no public transport on the island. Taxi rides can be costly, the alternate choice is either renting a car or motorcycle, that would be a wise decision and cost effective if you need to move around the island during your stay. A private rental operator known as Low Lo offers transportation services at reasonable pricing and pretty friendly as well. You can rent a car for a full day between RM80-100/- depending on the types of car or a two wheelers for less. He is said to be able to offer other services as well like day tours, island hoping, water sports and accommodations while on the island. I managed to acquire his services there and am pretty satisfied with what was offered, both in terms of product and integrity. If you do visit Pangkor island and needed some kind of service assistance, you can acquire it from the said person, he comes in highly recommend.

A nice Jetty. This is the 2nd station from Lumut jetty while arriving on Pangkor Island. If you are tourist, there are many van wait at Jetty to give you a full island trip. It cost me only RM 80 for a round trip and stopping (15/20min each) in all main places and finally will drop us in to a beach. Then they leave and come back when you call them again. After that trip, they'll take the money. Overall a good deal. Just remember the vans don't have any aircon.
