Very tasty Chinese cuisine and reasonably priced. The lamb with cumin seeds was an excellent combination with the cumin masking the lamb smell, whereas the signature eggplant was crispy on the outside yet soft in the inside. The fish in sour vege broth has a perfect balance of sweetness, sourness and spiciness.

The first thing that strikes me was the ambiance. Very classy chinoiserie decor and dramatic looking chairs. Good place to entertain & family catch up. Food wise is also good and almost dedicated waiter / waitress serving only 3 tables. Recommend dumplings, Boiled Fish In Pickle Cabbage And Chilli Soup, their signature brinjal, Special Seafood And Tau Fu Pot & grandma home cooked sweet spare ribs. I won't recommend the salted egg pumpkin - I've had better. Portion is relatively small typical of a Shanghainese cuisine. For a table of 10pax, you'll need 8-10 dishes. More if mostly men (our group had elderly & children). All in about RM50/pax depending on dishes.

The food was better last time. Recently felt the taste is fair only. My family likes 水煮鱼 but theirs doesnt have the strong spicy flavour.

Surprisingly the food are so tasty. However the service need more improvement as we are waited for an hour for serving food.

Quite interesting dishes focusing on shanghainese and sze chuan style. Worth a try but on the oily side for me. Not that cheap too for the portion in my opinion. Decor is nice and tea is served in nice pots with various designs. Try the artificial crab meat that's made on eggs and fish. Food: 3.5/5 Ambience and service: 4/5 Price: 3.5/5
