Very tasty white curry noodles. Tastes authentic. Place is clean and has heritage interior. Drinks are so so. But the noodles is worth the visit.

While Ah Ban at Kuantan Road Market has cleared out for the day by 10am, this once sought after bastion of Penang's White Curry Mee remains well stocked after 12 noon and sparsely patronised by tourists and Millenials just awake from their nightlife. The 2nd generation cook has only himself to blame for serving an exorbitant bowl (RM6) full of promise but falling short with the stale cockle spats, twin overcooked prawns, four cuttlefish tentacles and defrosted pig's blood. He has sparingly served the lump of chilli paste oil in a spoon over the broth, less of bisque, more of MSG sweetness. His poor showing is well paired with the less aromatic kopi (RM1.60) served by the landlady hostess in pyjamas of Khuan Pin Hotel and Coffee shop.

Haven't been here for a while. The curry mee is still good and tasty. Unfortunately they don't provide anymore every table with chili paste but is added already in each serving. I prefer not to mix chili into the broth but add to each mouthful with the noodles.

The soup is too sweet and not creamy enough. The chilli paste is the highlight though.

Saw this place as one of the must eat for curry mee in Penang, I'm very surprised they only charge RM 6 for a portion. Unassuming at first, they put pig's blood, shrimp, bloddy cockles, tofu, served with smooth broth (because of the coconut milk). First slurp, it lacks something. I needed an extra kick so with 1-2 spoonful of the chilli paste on the dish, the broth deepens in color and the broth transformed. Now my tastebud loved it, I devoured it all in 5 minutes. You should too.

This curry noodles is delicious You can choose to add pig’s blood jelly into the curry noodles. Adding a spoon of their homemade chili into the curry noodles enhances the flavor of the noodles.

Quite average in my opinion, doesn't have the strong laksa kick or flavours, lacks santan.
