We stayed at Ambong Pool Villas and was introduced with this spa. Was really expecting more than what we had. Usually during registration, the spa center would give out a paper to fill in which consists of questions like if you had previous surgery spot which need to avoid or what strength you want for your massage. But there was none, and I had to repeatedly notify the masseuse about spots to avoid and the strength I want (I can cope with). The room we had was a couple room, wood creaking and small fitting room, shower room was okay but not convenient to be stepping in nicely. Felt a bit ripped off for the facial which really doesn't feel very much special.

Nice setting. Friendly people. Massage was average. But.. the sarong cloth that I was given to cover myself during the massage session stink like it was not washed with enough detergent and not dried in the sun - if you know what I mean! I was also made to change in a small "fitting room". I am not sure why would other folks rate it 5-star when there are much better ones around - like those in hotels with all the proper, neat and atas facilities like locker room, sauna, jacuzzi and still in a nice ambience setting and not very much expensive.

Read on another forum where the reviewer said they had the beat facial ever there. Starting to wonder if that was a paid review. Did a couple package and it was most disappointing considering the price relative to langkawi. Traditional massage was essentially rubbing oil on you. When i requested for deeper strokes, it was dutifully ignored with some mumbling. When I requested we stop the rubbing and perhaps spend more time on the facial ans other treatments, my masseur asked if I wanted another therapist. When I said it was fine, just move on to the other treatments, she left the room for 10 mins, leaving me there. Another therapist came and said my original therapist was taking a "rest". The second therapist was better, but was rather put off by the service. As part of the treatment, they rub milk and yogurt on you before laying banana leafs p On you. Unfortunately, it really was milk and yogurt, and they turned the air con off. So it started to smell. Wasn't particularly enjoyable and I just couldn't wait for the entire thing to be over. Unfortunate. Many better and cheaper massages out there.
Must visit.. Very relaxing.. Ambience is awesome... The map location is not correct, this is located next to the Japanese restaurant Unkaizan..
