Heading down south to further my excursion lands me in a fishing village in Kukup, Johor. This fishing village from Tg. Piai is roughly about 10 km away dominated mostly by the Chinese community predominantly fishmen. Traditional houses built on stilts can be found here unfortunately the atmosphere is dampen with the smell of some muddy odour that can be unpleasant to some, I guessed must be from nearby mangrove swamp. The village is quite lively in the morning as fishmen lines to set sail for their catch. A fish farm is sighted within eyes length. If you enjoy seafood this is the place for you, there are quite a number of Chinese restaurants serving seafood, though prices can be a little expensive at least you know the catch is fresh. Nothing much for thrill seekers or die hard shoppers. Enjoy mother nature at its best and the atmosphere that comes by, harmonise the way of life of fishing folks and enjoy the food. Traffic on my visit was slow, largely more motorcycles than cars. If you find this article useful give me a Like.

I didn't visit the international jetty part. I went to beside it, a place to board a local small boat to a nearby fish farms. It cost RM 10 per person. The problem here are you need someone to guide you in order to reach this boarding place and there is no counter for you to buy tickets. Straight away pay to the person taking care before onboard. This boat will give you a ride to the island opposite as well (Mangrove Park), but the entrance fee will need to pay separately.

The boat trips were good. Unfortunately, due to a bad weather, i don't enjoy the view much at day 1. But the next day was a bright day, the view very stunning.
