Kuching Waterfront is a very happening Bazaar at night during week end, the newly constructed suspension bridge is now the main attraction which attract a huge crowd especially at night with vibrant coloured lighting that changes every few second. .

An excellent place to visit. It's one of the most visited tourist attractions. Fabulous place to shop for souvenirs and handicrafts which are abundantly on sales in many souvenirs shops along the Main Bazaar. Here one could be totally captivated by the scenic view of the Sarawak river , having the Gersik-Kpg Boyan Waterfront, the Astana, the DUN and Fort Margretta on the other side of the river. Sampan Taxis and the Sarawak Cruise boats gracefully ply the river frequently. Food and drink are easily available at the numerous restaurants and food stalls in the vicinity as well as along the Kuching esplanade. Occasionally you will see some young local musicians showing their talents in singing and playing some musical instruments like the Sape and guitars. There is an amphitheatre where various musical activities are being occasionally carried out there. Sometimes some fishing enthusiastic would be fishing by the river though there are some no fishing signs along the waterfront. Interesting sculptures are placed along the Waterfront. Informations about Sarawak are available to the public at the Sarawak Tourism Association kiosk at the waterfront, which open from 9am till 5pm. What is more fascinating is that, a very unique and magnificent bridge , the Jambatan Darul Hana has recently been officially declared open to the public. It connects the Main Bazaar Waterfront with the DUN. It is open to public from 6am to 12 Am. With its existence, the influx of visitors to the Waterfront has increased tremendously. I had an awesome experience walking across the bridge. The view from the bridge is amazing. However, I ve phobia for height and when the middle section of the bridge swayed I must say I was very scared. However, be rest assured the Darul Hana bridge is very safe. Even young children walked at ease and bravely across. An excellent place to capture the beauty of the Waterfront.
