I'd like to give my commendation to the doctors and nurses there. They've been really helpful in performing an emergency caesarean section to my wife and now we have a healthy baby boy! :D

Brought my son first time here due to emergency condition. Surprised to learn that UMMC had an Emergency Pediatric Department for children, making it unique from other hospitals. Parking was convenient, just behind the Emergency Department. Ample spaces and charges were reasonable at RM2 per hour all days. The cafe and canteen at the first floor were clean and provided a variety of food, including fruits and snack. Reasonably tasty with fair prices. Comparatively better than many other government hospitals. Nurses and doctors were friendly, patient to children, and fast to react. They completed the urine test, ultrasound and X-ray for my son efficiently. The doctors gave and explained the prescription in details and in timely manner. Generally a pleasant experience and beyond what you would have expected of a Government hospital. The hospital is actually quite old already but very well maintained and under constant refurbishment. From personal observation, it has updated and advanced facilities and medical equipment that you can find in private hospitals also but you pay much lesser costs.

They say, all the best doctors in Malaysia are congregated here. Which is so true. However, this hospital lacks in modernity in terms of proper signage, proper walkable aisles and the overall ambience. Staffs are impatient too.

I was referred by a doctor in Pantai to do a minor heart surgery in UMSC, as Professor Shahrul is one of the best in this field. After my operation I was sent to Cardiac ICU (CICU), the service there is very good, nurses are well trained and more importantly they treated every patient wholeheartedly. I felt safe when received the treatment there.

Worst operator service ever. My mom needed help to go to UMMC as she has mental health condition, it is difficult for me n my dad to send her to UMMC by car ourselves. So we decided to call UMMC for help by sending ambulance. The rude operator when I asked for her name for easier communication she just answered 'OPERATOR' angrily. Fine maybe she had a rough morning , so we go on explaining the situation n requested an ambulance. Without a pause of letting us finish talking, she shouted "SINI TAKDA AMBULANCE, CALL 999" And ends the call immediately. Is this the kind of service you people are providing? Don't get me wrong, the docs and other staffs were okay n attentive when we arrived. But that operator, she has an attitude problem. She gave us a hard time . Tak kena dekat batang hidung kau, boleh lah kau tunjuk sombong, tapi ingat, at any point of time you will need help from others, and being rude won't get you anywhere.

Not to be toxic, respect to those hardworking doctors and nurse. But waiting a doctor from night till morning for almost 7 hours is way too long. Hope things can be improve.
