For privacy purposes I am not using my google account. I just read the previous comments posted here after seeing Dr Stephen Jambunathan, the medical director and psychiatrist at The Mind Faculty (TMF). I regretted not reading them before my visit, it would have prevented all the trauma and waste of money. In the TMF website, Dr Stephen mentioned that he “treats the individual not the illness”, and in the first session, he will “perform a complete psychiatric evaluation”. He did the exact opposite when I saw him. Not only did he fail to treat me as an individual, he gave me various kinds of drugs for mental illness after asking me a few general questions and jumped to conclusion that I had serious mental problem. He seemed busy while talking to me, he kept opening the door to check outside the consultation room, and he made a few calls to the front desk. He did not listen to me when I talked, and dismissed my concern. He did not seem to be interested when I wanted to tell him how I felt. After approximately 50 minutes of consultation, I was charged RM600 just for the consultation fee, not including admin & medication charges The thing that stand out most to me is his constant claims to be an expert in this & that. Seemed to me like he has a serious issue of narcissm. I am extremely disappointed with his unprofessional and unethical conduct. He did not put his client’s interest as priority. He even put fear into me by saying that my "illness" will get more serious and dangerous, therefore I must continue to see him regularly. He takes advantage of his vulnerable clients; he is a disgrace to the mental healthcare profession. What he did to me was extremely careless & dangerous as he prescribed medication without a careful examination and understanding of his client’s needs.

Have never written a review for Google and see the need of doing it this time. For privacy purpose, I'm not using my google account. I was seeing Dr Joseph at the mind faculty for 2 months or so. The customer service staffs are friendly. However, my mental health did not improve, if not worse, after the consultations. Went to get second opinion and the other psychiatrist said they would not have prescribed the med that I'd got from Dr Joseph. Second, he was always late and I was charged the same consultation fee despite shorter session. Third, he seems to just throw any diagnosis he knows on me, asked me to go back research on them and never follow up in the next session. I thought it is the psychiatrist's job to conduct any relevant test? Instead, I was the one looking up the charts or tables and trying to do the test myself as if it is those random online personality tests. And again, those are diagnosis that my therapist who I have been seeing for years and my current psychiatrist would not have diagnosed. This is just my personal experience. This is something subjective after all. What does not work on me may work on someone else.

Overrated and too pricey for mediocre service and even below that. I have been given wrong medicine and felt even crazier after taking it. Whatsapp the doctor and he still asked me to continue it though i was at the edge of suicidal thoughts. Never even bother to schedule my next visit even after i tried explaining my situation. Now the psychiatrist is njo longer there but the clinic hasn't really rectified what went wrong in my treatment. Last place to go if you have mental health issues.

I came here after dealing with anxiety and panic disorder for the past 4 years. I am happy to say that I’ve been healed and the team at mind faculty has been extremely helpful throughout. I feel like a whole new person coming out and I’m so glad I took the first step to visit Mind Faculty and properly diagnose my illness and seek professional help. Would highly recommend for anyone going through anything in their lives, big or small. It will have nothing but a positive outcome.

I come here for acupuncture sessions with Dr Joanne, a TCM doctor. She’s kind and attentive. And her methods work! I’ve sorted out a lot of my old injuries and can’t be happier with her service. She explains everything meticulously and every time I leave her room, I’m rejuvenated. She can sort anything out, from depression and anxiety, to slimming and detox, to even mini face lifts! Magic worker! Front desk personnel, Leanne and Derek, are superb as well. Attentive and enthusiastic. Very welcoming. It really helps to hear their cheerful voices when I walk through the door.

RM350 an hour for mediocre consultation by a former school teacher who was specifically told that I was looking for mental development but doesn’t know how to handle it. Tried to diagnose if I had any psychological issues the whole 1 hour when I was there to explore mental growth capacity. Terribly disappointing, they probably used all our money to set up those big billboards around town.

I've been battling my own demons for sometime and met several psychologists in the past but it doesn't help. I decided to try out hypnotherapy and met Joyce. She was very kind and genuine. Her techniques helped me so much in just a matter of weeks. She got spot on to my root cause and tackled it very gently but yet efficiently. I am so grateful that I found TMF and gave hypnotherapy a try.
