Conceived by a group of Malaysian student leaders in Australia, NALS aims to provide an engaging platform for the youth to be involved with discussions and discourses with prominent figures on issues primarily centred around the core themes of nation building, civic engagement and national policies. NALS participants always comprise of Malaysian student leaders from all over the world, NGOs, internal student delegates from universities across Malaysia as well as students from selected secondary institutions. In 2018, NALS received the Malaysia Book of Records for its achievement in getting the most number of speakers in a youth summit. In 2018 also, NALS garnered over 3200 participants which recorded a dramatic increase from the previous year's number of participants, 2700. NALS primarily consists of a few components; NALS Symposium, NALS Series, NALS Care and NALS Movement. Every component brings out different approach to engage with the youth.
