The place is nice. Local staffs are helpful and friendly. They greet the customers really well. Hygiene top tier. Even the public restroom at the lobby really clean and smells good. Went to Nipah for dinner and the experience is excellent.

I was there for a seminar, Its a bit confusing that hotel lobby is a little bit hidden from the main entrance but otherwise the facelift is pretty amazing.

We were really looking forward to this buffet. My family and I used to dine a fair bit at Kampachi Equatorial Hotel before it closed down for renovation works. We had fond memories and the food was quite exceptional then. Unfortunately, I could not say the least for the recent buffet experience which fell really short. The choices for the ala carte buffet were limited; this would have been acceptable if the dishes were done well but the prawns (both tempura and seafood broth) were not the freshest and were mushy! The sashimi cuts were sad and u had to specify the number of pieces for everything because if u ask for 2 portions, they will give u just 2 slices/pieces. Maybe they tried to stinge/ cut corners in order to fill you up as well as the rolls were huge but nothing much inside. Heck, even the regular restaurants like Sushi Tei or Rakuzen does a better job for handrolls. The teppanyaki was.. something I could grill better at home. I am sad as I am typing this. Staff was polite but service was slow although there were limited guests because the place is huge. A suggestion would be to put a call button or at least assign a waiter/ waitress for each table. Then again, last time unless I am forced to dine for work purpose. Plus point was the ambiance of the restaurant, the Yuzu sorbet & Sesame ice cream but that was about it and I did not bother snapping more pictures because it was overall a let down.
