My home place! A royal town . The traffic flow is busy during peak hours that is early morning dan evening when people going and back to and from their workplace and during weekend, horrible on eidulfitri where every corner of the town is packed with cars . Their favourite spots are riverside and market. Nearby village is famous for clay pottery industry. Famous food are laksa, cendul, putu piring and special apam , steam cake on the banana leaf .

The newly renovated Kuala Kangsar Train Station is impressive. Look for your Coach (A-F) on the platform and wait nearby. Plenty of car park available.

The best experience travelling in Platinum coach from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Kangsar. The last stop is Padang Besar ( border of Thailand ) Very efficient, fast train. Price affordable and full comfort. The ride is smooth, no delays and has announcement before every stop. The station has plenty of parking. Tip: Buy your tickets online, ahead of time. Find websites with discount bargains. It is cheaper than buying at the station and you can confirm seats like airlines.

A small town that has a long history. From the Perak Royal Family to the Eton of the East. From the first rubber tree in Malaysia to the exquisite Ubudiah Mosque. Imposing architectural gems found dotted around the town, such as the Royal Palace, Ubudiah Mosque, Galeri Sultan Azlan Shah and the Malay College. You can reach the town by the efficient ETS operated by KTM. If you are hungry, the laksa and ABC stalls by the river should be good. A souvenir you could purchase would be the Sayong earthenware jars.
