This quaint Kampung Talang Hilir made famous during Ramadhan whereby the night before celebration of Eidul Fitri, the kampung folks would have a roaring war firing canons made of big metal pipes. They put in carbides and pour water into it, thus gases formed which are very flammable. Loud explosions could be heard for kilometers. The canon war would start just before midnight and lasted until early morning. After that the canon would be kept away in store until the next Ramadhan.
