Railway Assets Corporation (RAC) Malaysia (formerly known as ‘Perbadanan Aset Keretapi (PAK) Malaysia’) is a federal statutory body under Malaysia’s Ministry of Transport. It was established under the Railways Act 1991 (Act 463) on 30 July 1992 and was fully operationalized on 1 August 1992. RAC has been entrusted to be the owner and caretaker of all land and assets of the national railway, and aspires to develop the national railway industry to be at par with international standards. In 2015, RAC was re-branded in order to better highlight a more corporate image to suit its functions and roles, particularly in terms of empowering the railway sector in the country. The re-branding had produced a new company logo, acronym and corporate colours, which were officially implemented in 2015.
