Place is clean and absolutely loved the fancy environment. Waitress cater to our request to sit under the lantern area and answered our inquiry regarding the wagyu beef well. Overall service is good, the staffs are friendly as well. The food tastes great and loved how they plate their dish. Prices are reasonable too. Will definitely come back.

Izakaya has left the best impressions! From delicious dishes to beautiful presentation. Fresh draught beers, great choices of whiskey, super friendly host / staff and wonderful service. I recommend to everyone.. No doubt!

Honestly I wanted to give this place 4 stars but looking at the reviews of all the other Japanese restaurants in Kuching this place kinda deserves a 5. Because to be real, it's hell of a lot better than a lot of places I've been to that have an average rating of 4.3 stars. My reasons are as follows: 1) Spacious, you don't have to worry about sitting too close to ppl while eating. 2) Opens at 11am for lunch which is great for an early eater like me. 3) When giving them constructive criticism I can come back and actually taste a difference in the food. 4) The only place that sells the droplet cakes that actually taste pretty good and refreshing. 5) Prices are really decent and there's a variety of food. 6) Staff are nice and polite.

Very comfortable surrounding, with very good service provided by their staff. Even though there might be room for improvement for thier chairs and tables. But none the less a good place for gatherings or events

Restaurant set up is very nice and cosy. Food quite good. You can try Kobe beef here...RM98 and above depending on what sort of Kobe beef style you order from the menu. Table service staffs are very polite and helpful.

Thank you for delivering such sumptuous meal to dad on his birthday. Very thoughtful of Izakaya to allow me to order from overseas and have arranged the delivery. It was flawless and dad said food was DELICIOUS!

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal at Izakaya. We had sashimi platter which was super fresh with bottles of sake. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. There was also private room ideal for bigger groups.

Wonderful experience dealing with Izakaya. I ordered for food to be delivered to an address and Izakaya was very willing to help me make it more personal as I was ordering from out of town (printed personal message). It made a little boy very happy especially not being able to see family from out of town.
