Well worth the price of admission (free.) A nice break from the midday sun and learn Malay history in the area before British colonialism and Chinese dominance. Very nicely restored mansion. Very well done exhibits!

Nice little museum with two levels showing local history and culture. It's a bit out of the tourist area but worth a visit to get some history especially while the town's main museum is being renovated. Its also free!

A very good display of history of the Malays in Penang. We must emphasise that it was the Malays who discovered Penang and NOT Francis Light!

Considering it’s free, definitely would recommend. This might be the only museum in Penang which even talks about the presence of Malays in Penang rather than the British that came and the Chinese clans/merchants. Not too much information but info is presented in clear manner. Wish they would pay tribute to the architecture of the museum though considering the building is beautiful. And also the security guard needs to stop playing videos on his phone with max volume.

A nice place to learn about malay history in penang. Not too details but just enough for an introduction of the race, culture and history.
