G

good day

This place is well-managed and the staff here is very dedicated. She will make sure everyone has a chance to contribute and explored many ways to help them to become self-sufficient. They make various handmade product from woven cloth, bags, t-shirts, hand-drawn batik, to handmade soap. They accept recycled materials as well. I find their products are in good quality and reasonably priced. I bought a drawstring bag made of hand-drawn batik, is double-layered and thick, and also 200g dish soap, costs RM 20 and RM3 each. Please pay here a visit when you travel to balik pulau, they need more visitors and will be so happy to see you!

We are having a volunteer at this place to help the center. I strongly encourage people do visit this place and buy their hand make product to suppor them. If you have any recycle item, do seperated by yourself and bring there to help the children and center as well.

I visited the Stepping Stone today and I'm impressed at how the centre provides an avenue for the members to have sustainable employment and a safe, inclusive place to work and socialise. I see dignity restored to this special group of people. If you're at Balik Pulau, drop by the Centre to buy their handiwork from eco-friendly soaps to batik and handwoven bags to support their quest for independent living.
