One of the best hills you can hike in KL. IF your looking for some rock climbing and some hiking, do visit Tabur. The hike is not that long roughly around 2 hours on average, if your fit would roughly take an hour to an hour and a half. It depends on the crowd as well, during my recent visits there has been way less crowd, so waiting time at dangerous parts are less. Some assistance in the form of ropes and bolts are available to help hikers climb up and down some steep paths. The path is rather straight forward.

The view from the peak is simply breathtaking ! You will get a 360 degree unobstructed panoramic view up there! At the north side is the Klang gates reservoir and at the south side is KL skyline! There are five ridges along this quartz ridge on Bukit Tabur west. Although I would consider it dangerous at some parts of it, like you may find yourself hanging by the cliff with vertical rocky wall. But the steel staircases and ropes are certainly very helpful for a good grip. My advise is to get yourself a good pair of shoes, hike early morning to avoid the heat, avoid rainy season as the rock could be slippery, avoid night hike, follow someone who has experience climbing this hill. Overall, it is worth the effort as you will be rewarded with great view!

A very challenging and rewarding hike especially towards the stone hill top. It's quite dangerous and really have to be cautious of every steps. Definitely not suitable to bring kids unless they are very very well trained. View is good and calm with the greens and dam. Feels like we are away from the city. Not a crowded trail as its quite dangerous.

It’s still one of my favourite hiking spot due to it’s awesome view! Love how well the trails are maintained with a lot of safety ropes and holders etc. Better come with someone experienced before hiking this place and wear suitable hiking shoes as this hill is quite a dangerous hill to hike.

The hike was marked "closed" due to an accident. However locals were using it when I went... Nice views with some exhilarating rock climbs on top with exposure. Bring gloves and water... **** Also, test the ropes and cables before committing your full weight! I found loose footings on some and some frayed rope. BE CAREFUL

One of the Best to enjoy Sunrise view that you can find in KL. Once you reach the top before sunrise, it is windy and cooling and it feels like a natural air conditioner. Of course let's not forgetten also one of the most dangerous place to hike. 1 fall could cause serious injury/death. Besides, It is illegal to hike without permission because Tabur West is now under private property.
